We are proud of our beautiful location in a building dating back to the 1500s, located directly behind the Groot Kasteel. Our welcoming atmosphere, cozy fireplace, Tiffany lamps and comfortable chairs make it hard for our guests to leave after an evening’s dining. If you love good food, drinks and conviviality, you are welcome from 12:00 every day.

Surroundings
Our peaceful surroundings are home to Groot Kasteel Deurne as well as a beautiful castle park and Deurne Park Farm. Children can spend hours at the farm with the animals, or head to the small play area to blow off some steam. If you want to learn more about nature, the environment and sustainability, why not visit the nearby Ossenbeemd? Or jump on your bike and follow the Deurne Sustainable Energy Route, which extends to more than 40 km.
The monumental Museum De Wieger puts the extraordinary story of Hendrik Wiegersma centre stage – a doctor with a striking personality who became one of the Netherlands’ most important expressionist painters.
Hiking
The first hiking route that we like to recommend takes you through the Walsberg Forest. A former moorland area, the forest is now home to the smallest species of bird in the Netherlands, the Goldcrest. Children are always very enthusiastic about Expeditie Zandbos, a three-kilometre exploration trail with enjoyable challenges along the way. Interested in the artistic story of Deurne? Historical enjoyment
With views over the park, and just a dose of imagination, you can imagine yourself in a bygone era. This historical environment will make you feel like a French king, enjoying outstanding food in a homely environment. Share the dishes in the centre of the table and get to sample a variety of meals per course.
